Minutes approved
There’s a new group that is on the Facebook page. “Peace with justice.” “Anything posted on the fb page…” Passed as amended.
Finance report – committee met, Carrie’s first time producing. Creeping up on deficit. Lee consultant very complimentary of Kerry. Everything going very well. Must raise more to pay apportionments. In operating fund neg balance is only $3924, down from 9.
Committee reports
SPRC – meets again in August. Walker and Simpson meet together. Finished personnel policies. Lucy sent out final edits.
Trustees – power outage exposed elevator problem. Basement is still damp in spots, but no running water. Ace in the City moved in. On hold with sound system while waiting for the West Metro Builders Spring Call.
Fundraising – art fair started today with materials to artists. Silent auction netted 1000. Rummage sale in October.
Peace with Justice – $15 now scheduled week before Labor Day. Black lives matter events-date in Oct for vigil to remember shooting at Mother Immanuel. Possible fall theme? Dallas Rising speaking was a P w/J activity.
Sunday School
Celebration – preliminary survey results? 50 in. Running thru this week. Beth R is entering. Group of leaders will look at stats and comments. A summary will be available on the website. Mary resigned as chair, but is going to stay on for the year. Mary is reorganizing the committee and getting the calendar for next year set up.
Walter’s report – wants the community to figure out where to plant the peace pole. Enjoying his summer at camp. Feels the energy of church is improving.
Other business – parking on 31st has changed. No parking except Sunday morning, 8-1. Fairview lot (on 16th ave) is likely going to be available for our use, pending proof of our insurance. We’ll have to clear snow in the winter.
