April 23, 2017
Present: Walter Lockhart, Bonita Blomenauer, Nancy Larsen, Lulu Philips, Jim McCreary, Jesse Watkins, Howard Kranz, Ed Ed Mueller, Al Hildenbrand.
The minutes were approved as read.
We need a SPRC chair replacement. It was agreed that the Nominating Committee should meet to consider candidates for a new chair. Lulu will fill in in the interim.
Jesse stressed the importance of the Church Council, adding that we should not shift decisions to Walker staff by marginalizing council meetings. He protested Sunday meeting times. Several council members said that they preferred Sunday meeting times. Walter stated that the council should only make decisions when it is in possession of all the facts.
The meeting was adjourned. The next meeting will be Sunday, June 25 after celebration.
