MayDay Parade:  After Celebration join a group of Walkerites on the corner of 31st Street & Bloomington to watch it go by.

The Story Worship Celebration:  Sunday, 4 pm.  The Story gathers for worship celebrations on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month thestory.mn.

Walker Morning Coffee Gathering:  Monday, May 2, 10 am at Lake Street Coffee.  3223 East Lake St.  All are welcome.  FFI Walter

Community Meeting with Councilmember Alondra Cano:  Tues, May 3, 5:30 to 7:30 pm in the sanctuary.  A meeting about the $ 15 minimum wage and workers’ rights will be held in the sanctuary.

Walker Community Meal free, all welcomeTuesday, May 3, 6 to 7 pm (doors open at 5:30 pm) coordinated by David West.

Walker Singers Rehearsal:  Tuesday, May 3, 7 to 8 pm.  The rehearsal will be in the dining room led by Jim McCreary.

Rosen Movement:  Wednesday, May 4, 9 am to 10 am. There are sessions every Wednesday and you are welcome to drop in anytime.  It is a simple and effective hour of movement with music designed to keep the joints healthy, invite body awareness, improve alignment, relax muscles, and expand the breath!  Wear comfortable clothing. The cost per session is $ 5-10 sliding scale.  A free introductory session is available. SOFFA support group:  Wednesday, May 4, 6:30 pm to 8 pm in the mediation room.  This support group for the family and friends of transgender people meets every Wednesday.   FFI soffamn@yahoo.com

Ecstatic Movement:  Wednesday, May 4, Class starts at 7:30 pm. The group meets every Wednesday.  People should arrive by 7:15pm to get checked in and warm up.   The Ecstatic Movement community is made up of folks who want, need, and love to move their bodies. We are playful, sassy, fun-loving, fierce, curious, introspective, and adventurous on the dance floor. This is an alcohol and drug free event. Note: Some songs may contain explicit language. Walker Sunday Celebration: May 15, 10:30 amDoug Rosenquist will speak on the Divine Feminine and there will be a Flag Dance with silk flags representing tongues of flame for Pentecost.

 

Be a part of the flag dance in Sunday Celebration on May 15!  Silk flags will represent tongues of flame for Pentecost. No dance experience needed, but you have to be able to run.  People who have already learned the flag dance as well as new faces are encouraged to join.  Contact Janet Skidmore
