Walker Church Finance Committee

Empty Bowls: The new fiscal agent agreement has been signed, and they paid the fee for the year.
Interviews: 8 people were interviewed for the new office assistant position. Carrie Feldman has been hired.
Bookkeeper: Lee Silverstein has agreed to be the contract bookkeeper. He and Carrie will meet with Jennifer, KC and Walter on Tuesday at 2:00 pm to organize how the finances will be handled. Carrie has done payroll before so we may not need as many hours from Lee as we had anticipated.
Finance Chair: KC is up and running as Finance Chair. She has filled in during the gap and has familiarized herself with church finances. She learned how to do entries in QuickBooks and has written checks and done deposits.
Rentals: The Trustees approved in concept the rental to the Covenant Church (sanctuary) and the related after-school program (office). Jennifer and/or Walter will negotiate the final agreement.
Income: We are ahead of projections in both fundraisers and rentals. The rummage sale made $3788 and the Top God performances made $1066.
Next meeting: Wednesday, June 17th at 5:00 pm. We will change future meetings to the third Wednesday of the month if that works for everyone else.
