Opening Smudge

Lao Tzu # 73 Mitchell translation followed by 5 minutes of silence

The Tao is always at ease. It overcomes without competing, answers without speaking a word, arrives without being summoned, accomplishes without a plan. Its net covers the whole universe. And though its meshes are wide, it doesn’t let a thing slip through.

Scripture Reading John 1: 1-9 by Janet Court

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The Word was in the beginning with God.  All things came into being through the Word, and without the Word not one thing came into being. What has come into being in the Word was life, and the life was the light of all people.  The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.  He came as a witness to testify to the light, so that all might believe through him.  He himself was not the light, but he came to testify to the light.
The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world.

Materials are needed for the next Sanctuary Art Project which will be created by Adel Gardner and (hopefully) every member of the Walker Community. We will each create a part to be added to the whole. It is a simple project that will begin to be created after Christmas. Yarn is one of the materials that is needed  and Adel is requesting yarn donations to be brought to Walker. There will be a labeled container available in the clockroom for you to add your yarn donation. Further Information will follow. Thank you in advance!’ Adel
