Opening Smudge

Lao Tzu # 48 followed by 5 minutes of silence

In pursuit of knowledge,
every day something is added.
In the practice of the Tao,
every day something is dropped.
Less and less do you need to force things,
until finally you arrive at non-action.
When nothing is done,
nothing is left undone. True mastery can be gained
by letting things go their own way.
It can’t be gained by interfering.

Welcome, Announcements & Offering

Scripture Reading: Romans 5:1-5 by Jesse Watkins

Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand; and we boast in our hope of sharing the glory of God.

And not only that, but we also boast in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.

From Doug Rosenquist: Thank you for inviting me to speak about Mary Magdalene last Sunday.  I do feel bad that my timing got off, and I ended up having to lop off some of my talk, which may have left you understandably confused.   Some  approached me after suggesting a Mary Magdalene study group.  I would be interested in this.  Please send me an email expressing your interest, best times, and frequency (weekly or monthly).
