Before it move, hold it, before it go wrong, mould it, drain off water in winter before it freeze, before weeds grow, sow them to the breeze. You can deal with what has not happened, can foresee harmful events and not allow them to be.
Though, as naturally as a seed becomes a tree of arm wide girth, there can rise a nine-tiered tower from a person’s handful of earth or here at your feet a thousand-mile journey have birth. Quick action bruises, quick grasping loses. Therefore a sane person’s care is not to exert one move that can miss, one move that can hurt.
Most people who miss, after almost winning, should have ‘known the end from the beginning.’ A sane person is sane in knowing what things can spare, in not wishing what most people wish, in not reaching for things that seem rare. The cultured might call this heathenish, this one of few words, because this one care is not to interfere but to let nature renew the sense of direction we undo.

Is our fate written in stone in our horoscopes? Does free will exist? What is the relationship between the cosmos and the individual? What survives death? How can we better understand our place in the Universe? What does astrology say about these unstable times? These are big questions… and not the answers you’d expect.

Walker’s Death Café: Thurs, June 25, 7 pm. The Death Café returns on Thursday evenings at 7 pm for six weeks from June 25 through July 30. Mark your calendars for stimulating conversations about death and dying. We will be playing the new card game The Gift of Grace, the question and answer game that will help clarify our individual thoughts and attitudes toward this rarely discussed subject. Pride Sunday Celebration: 10 am at the Pride Parade line-up
Bluegrass and Old Time Music Jam: Mon, June 29 7 pm to 10 pm. Coming late and leaving early is okay. The jam is for folks of all abilities. It is not necessarily church music. Everyone, who wants to, gets to choose and lead several songs. Listeners are also welcome.

Converging Visions Ukulele Classes Tuesdays 10 am to 1 pm at Walker Church. 8 weeks starting June 16.
Come join us! Ukulele’s provided as cost of class. Payment and scholarship options available! Come and learn how to play the ukulele. A fun little string instrument. Learn a song by week two! Sunday Celebration Summer Schedule: Celebration is at 10 am and will be held in Powderhorn Park near the corner of 33rd Street & 14th Avenue on the following Sundays: June 21, July 5 & 19, August 2, 16 & 30. In case of rain it is held at the church.

Other Announcements
Calling all Gardeners!! We are deep in the season of planting and we have not yet really met to discuss the greenspace at Walker. Is there a time when we can all foregather and do the next best thing to planting…discussing what to plant. I propose we meet after church this coming Sunday. Does that work for all that are interested or do you have another date in mind? Questions? Call Kristine Smith
Margo McCreary needs socks: I need socks for a project: socks that go up above the ankle at least: socks who have lost their mate, socks without holes, socks that are not too soiled from long use, they can be kid or adult socks. I need them by the end of June! You can leave them in them in the marked box in the clockroom. Thanks, Margo
