Walker’s Death Café:  Thurs, June 25, 7 pmThe Death Café returns on Thursday evenings at 7 pm for six weeks from June 25 through July 30. Mark your calendars for stimulating conversations about death and dying. We will be playing the new card game The Gift of Grace, the question and answer game that will help clarify our individual thoughts and attitudes toward this rarely discussed subject. Bring paper or journal and pen.  FFI Dianne O’Donnell

 Walker Church Silent Auction & Community Get-Together:  Friday, June 26, Auction 6:00-7:15 PM

Dinner Served at 6:30 PM.  Vegan or Beef Rice Pilaf, Sausage or Veggie Lasagna, Garlic Bread, Salad, Beverage, Dessert.  Adults $12, Children 8-18 $4, under 8 free.  It’s a lot of fun, so come on over!

Donated items already include: Art works from the Watkins collection, English trifles by Lou, a weekend at the Feldman house, homemade dinners for four…and more to come.

 

Converging Visions Showcase:  Friday, June 26, 7:30 pm. Performance by singer songwriter Emily Antin. This group has partnered with Walker to present arts programming here.  Admission sliding scale $ 5 or more.  Kids free.

 

Women’s Potluck Brunch:  Sat, June 27, 9:30 am at Barbara Hager’s house. Barbara will make coffee, tea and a vegetarian protein dish.

 

 

On Sunday, June 28 at 10 am there will be two Celebrations:

 

Celebration at the Reconciling Congregations float in Pride Parade line-up led by Pastor Walter Lockhart with the Walker Musicians performing these songs in the following set order:

Bluegrass and Old Time Music Jam:  Mon, June 29 7 pm to 10 pm.  Coming late and leaving early is okay.  The jam is for folks of all abilities.   Everyone, who wants to, gets to choose and lead several songs. Listeners are also welcome.

Walker Movie Night:  Friday, July 24, 6:30 pm.  Let’s take a summer stroll down Memory Lane! We’ll be showing the videos of “America’s Next Top God”, “I Always Wanted To Do That Scene”, and “Jesus Christ, Superstar”…in that order… on FRIDAY, JULY 24, beginning at 6:30 PM, in the sanctuary on the big screen!
